The Elco has the function of blocking low sounds or tones from entering into the speaker, especially on mid speaker which are susceptible to damage when exposed to sound bass which is excessive.

It is important to understand that the use of this Elco is more suitable for beginners in assembling speaker. Non-polar elco usually used to hold the tone bass so as not to damage mid speaker. However, those who are experts can customize the type and value of the Elco according to their sound preferences.

I have also conducted tests with different Elcos, such as those of 18uf and 4.7uf. As a result, the lower-rated Elco was able to produce a sound of mid-high better, while Elco with higher values tends to retain the sound of the bass.
